All of these skills are taught in a fun and engaging manner. We will be utilizing a variety of software programs, many of which are online and can utilized at home as well. As a resource to parents, I will post links to information and websites that you can use at home to reinforce these technology skills! At this age, time spent on the computer should be a fun and family event! Take the time to explore some of these links with your child and have fun learning together! Just a reminder - always know what your child is doing online! Another major focus of the primary technology curriculum is in cyber safety and instruction students in the moral and ethical use of information, particularly information found online. The Archdiocese of Louisville recommends the use of the ISafe program in schools and is what SMA will be utilizing with students. Parental information regarding the program will be sent home periodically but you can always visit their website for lots of additional information and useful links.
